DJ Turntable For Your Home Entertainment

By Patrick Daniels

There is a video game revolution going on and if you are a rocker, you probably already know about it and love it. I have not found any video game fan yet that doesn't love playing Rock Band or Guitar Hero. They have been a phenomenon in the video game industry and have helped make video gaming an accepted recreational activity. It has accounted for most of the growth in the industry over the past three years and doesn't look to slow down any time soon.

But what if you are not a huge fan of rock music or heavy metal or classic rock? Sure, it is still fun but maybe there is something more. What if you are more of a fan of techno and hip hop and club music? Well something is coming down the road for you and it may be the next evolution and revolution in video games. It is DJ Hero and it is brought to you by the makers of the Guitar Hero franchise. It doesn't come with a guitar or a set of drums or a microphone; it comes with a brand new peripheral that millions of music fans will instantly recognize. It comes with a turntable.

A turntable? Yes, it looks like a DJ turntable with the turntable, buttons and sliders that a real one would have. You push the buttons it time to the beats and move the slider and turntable to the reverb and different changes in the music. It takes a little bit of practice to get used to the new interface and once you get the hang of it it feels just like any other rhythm game, only a little bit different and with a different set of songs.

The game provides a great variety of songs, from some of the most popular DJs from the club and hip hop scene. Even if you are not a big fan of this type of music, the songs are still enjoyable, and you will have a great time playing this game.

The downside to this revolutionary game is that it is one of the highest priced games on shelves. It sells for $150, an although it is less than the new Beatles game, it is still a bit over priced for many peoples budgets this year. The best thing to do, to purchase it at a lesser price is to wait for a sale, or until after the holidays when many companies start dropping the prices of expensive items to reduce overstock. - 29872
