Hottest Games for The X-Box 360 and PS3

By Philip Woods

With the three major game console brands available today, sometimes it really is disappointing when a new game comes out for one system, but is not available for the other game systems. It is really disappointing when you wait in anticipation for a new game to come out, only to find that it doesn't go with your gaming platform. With some game systems, you are going to expect some games aren't going to be compatible, like many Wii games. There is a wide range of Wii products out there, but because of their sensor hand controllers, you know that won't work, and can't be adaptable for X-Box 360 and PS3.

On the other hand, both Sony and X-Box compete with each other so much on so many things, they shouldn't compete over games as well. If a game comes out for these kinds of gaming platforms, they should be available for both. You obviously can't expect all aspects of the game to be the same, like controllers and certain features, but overall game play, plot lines, and game interaction should be the same.

Speaking of hot games, X-men Origins game has got to be one of the best games out there. This game is out in all three platforms. The Wii, Playstation3, and the X-box 360 all carry this new game and retails for nearly $60.00. Another popular game is Guitar Hero. People of all ages love this game. There is a new Beatles addition to help you rock the wannabes in your house. Those who are into hardcore driving will love the Need for Speed Shift.

Before running to your local store to buy a new video game, it's best to rent the ones you think you may be interested in. You can test drive it, to make sure you like it before spending over fifty dollars for a new game. While testing the games you rent, take notice to see how long it takes you to go through the levels. Check out the difficult level of the game. If you blaze through it, then it's not worth spending the money on it if you are going to get through the entire game in a short period of time.

On the other hand, if you can't at least master the controller's basics after a rental period, it's going to be hard when you buy it. Some may find this a good challenge, while other players get frustrated easily. This also gives you a chance to get a feel for a game before you buy it, and not for just the few minutes at the game store. There are some games you know before buying if you are going to like it. If you like first person shooter games, you know you're not going to want some sports game. But how do you know if you are really going to like Halo if you've never played it? Is it going to be similar to some war epic like Men of Honor? You get the idea.

When you decide that purchasing your next video games is right for you, consider trying online websites, and dealers to get lower prices. As you are aware there are many online websites, and retailers excited to take your money. Even though most games are retailed between $50 and $60.00 you may be surprised to find them cheaper through these online retailers. - 29872
